Lies the Enemy Wants You to Believe and Truths from God’s Word – Christian Devotional Blog Post Graphic | Radiantly Rooted by Lauren Riley Jewelry

Lies the Enemy Wants You to Believe (and Truths from God’s Word)

The enemy is crafty; he doesn’t show up with horns and a pitchfork. He whispers subtle lies, hoping you’ll start believing them. And if we’re not rooted in truth, it’s easy to fall for those lies. But here’s the good news: God’s Word is full of powerful truth that breaks every chain.

Today, let’s expose 7 common lies from the enemy and replace them with God’s unshakable truth. 💥

🚫 Lie #1: “You’re not good enough.”

Truth: You are fearfully and wonderfully made.
Psalm 139:14 – “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

You were created on purpose for a purpose. God doesn’t make mistakes and He made you.

🚫 Lie #2: “You’ll never change.”

Truth: In Christ, you are a new creation.
2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

Your past doesn’t define you; Jesus does.

🚫 Lie #3: “You’re alone in this.”

Truth: God is always with you.
Deuteronomy 31:6 – “Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Even when people fail you, God never will.

🚫 Lie #4: “You’ve messed up too much.”

Truth: God’s grace covers every mistake.
Romans 5:20 – “Where sin increased, grace increased all the more.”

No sin is too big for the cross. Period.

🚫 Lie #5: “No one cares about you.”

Truth: God loves you deeply and personally.
Romans 8:38–39 – “Nothing can separate us from the love of God.”

God’s love isn’t based on what you do; it’s based on who He is.

🚫 Lie #6: “God has forgotten about you.”

Truth: God’s timing is perfect, and He never forgets His children.
Isaiah 49:15 – “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast…? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!”

When it feels silent, trust that He’s still working behind the scenes.

🚫 Lie #7: “You have no purpose.”

Truth: You were created with intentionality.
Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord… “plans to give you a future and a hope.”

You were made to shine for the Kingdom.

🌱 Final Encouragement

The enemy wants to plant doubt, shame, and fear, but God’s Word is your weapon. Don’t let lies take root. Replace them with truth. Read it. Speak it. Stand on it.

You are chosen. You are loved. You are enough because He says so. 💛
