A Devotional for the Girl Who’s Fighting Discouragement

💗 Feeling discouraged doesn’t mean you’ve lost your faith.

If you’re waking up heavy, wondering why the breakthroughs seem delayed or why prayers feel unanswered… you’re not alone. Discouragement can creep in quietly, through disappointments, delays, and dreams that still feel far away. But your discouragement doesn’t scare God, and it doesn’t disqualify you from His plans.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

God isn’t asking you to muster up fake optimism. He’s asking you to bring Him the honest ache in your heart, so He can exchange it for hope that lasts.

💐 God sees the effort you think no one notices

You may feel like nothing’s moving forward, but heaven is not silent. God sees every prayer you’ve prayed in private, every time you’ve pushed forward when you wanted to give up, and every seed of faith you’ve sown in the dark.

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9

Your labor in the Lord is never wasted. Just because you can’t see the fruit yet doesn’t mean it’s not growing beneath the surface.

🌷 Discouragement is not your destination

This is a chapter, not your whole story. The very places you feel stuck might be the exact ground God is preparing for something greater. He’s not pacing heaven wondering what to do next; He’s already working all things together for your good.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him…” — Romans 8:28

God will not waste this season. The same hands that hold your future are holding you right now.

You’re allowed to feel discouraged and still choose faith.
You’re allowed to not see the way forward and still trust the One who does.
You’re allowed to take one small step today without knowing what tomorrow looks like.
